Welcome to T-town

Hi! I'm gonna tell you all about where I live so that you can stalk me. I LOVE stalkers - they make me feel famous.

I'm being featured over at BlogTrotting - woot woot.

I've lived in the Tulsa, Oklahoma for 7 years now but the Crazy Nana has lived here my whole life - so I feel like it's my 2nd hometown. It's where the winds come sweeping down the plains.

In the past 7 years - Tulsa and its surrounding areas have EXPLODED. not like a bomb - but like gave birth to all kinds of new stuff.

Like our new baseball stadium And our new entertainment arena

But Tulsa is great at holding onto tradition & history - like the historic Cain's Ballroom - which was built in 1924 and still hosts a lot of great concerts to this day.
Something REALLY dear to me is the Golden Driller. He's kind of a big deal. Mostly because I work in that building behind him which hosts a little thing called the Tulsa State Fair.

It's really strange - random people come from all over to take pictures with him and of him. He's totally cute with his hard hat, right?!

We also have a zoo that I still have not taken Grayson to but I have taken him the Jenks Aquarium - awesome. You can see more of our visit if you click HERE

One of my fave parts of Tulsa is this ridiculously immature morning radio show - BMMS - you can listen online and they have podcasts.

Misconceptions about Oklahoma - Not everybody listens to country music or owns a horse or has a cow.

Not everybody is a redneck or has their lifetime hunting license. But lots do.

The great thing about Tulsa is there is space and trees and green and blue mixed in with the hustle and bustle.

You totally want to come visit me now, right? RIGHT?!

Not surprisingly, your description of Tulsa sounds a lot like my home in Kansas. Makes me a little homesick actually.

That Bok Center is gorgeous! And I'm not surprised at all that people take photos with the Golden Driller. He's quite a monument!

Thanks for the tour and for being a part of BlogTrotting!!

Great tour! Can I just say that your personality leaps off the page when you write . . . not that I know you personally, but you write with real energy and humor!

Why is it called the Tulsa State Fair and not the Oklahoma State Fair?

Thanks for BlogTrotting!

Oooh...golden driller....sounds dirty.
He looks a bit gruff, but I like these kinds of things and would take at least 12 photos of him, from different angles and with different people in them.
Cool run-through of your city!

I would totally come visit, except you have tornadoes there and I'm a big old wuss when it comes to houses and tractor trailer trucks flying through the air. Great pictures...they would've been rated "awesome" if Grayson was in them, but he wasn't, so they aren't.
