I can only think "Endless Possibilities"
I made this owl this weekend using this tutorial. I changed mine up a bit - making it bigger and stuffed it.
I'm improving. But I still suck. I forgot to add ribbon feet. And see how on one wing the ribbon is at the bottom and on the other it's at the top? Ya - I did the right wing 3 different times with the ribbon always ending up at the top. So I said - eff it - it's a wing - it has ribbon - done.
I think it's pretty darn cute.

you are doing awesome Brandy. Have you thought about making sock monkeys, i have a friend who does that, and she makes all sorts of cool ones.
Brandy, that's adorable! I WISH I could do things like this. Super cute!
I think it's cute! As far as the wings go...he's just different! I'm sure G loves it no matter what! I so want to learn to sew! I want to be able to make Natalee lots of cute clothes! I need a sewing machine first though...
Oh I'm impressed, you are getting close to being stinkier like a sewer. I think though, you might try to be a seamstress instead? :P
How adorable! Love the wing like that, it gives it so much more personality. And wow, that fabric store is awesome. I would be inspired too!
I like the little taggies on there!
Ah! I'm reminded of vicarious trips to Mood. :)
Awesomeness.
Ooh, that is CUTE! I wanna make one now, too.
I used to have to go to the fabric store with my Grandma. I didn't know they even had places like that anymore.
I can't stop laughing thinking that you want to be a sewer, alternate meaning. I am very mature.
that owl is awesome! if i tried to do something like that it would just come out looking like a circle. with an eyeball and maybe one wing.
I think he is adorable! With much wisdom and character!
VERY cute! Mine wouldn't even look like a bird if I tried to make an owl. Probably more like a turd.
Better than I could do! That owl is super cute!
I tried to teach myself to sew and it was pretty much a fiasco. Sad, because I LOVE going to JoAnn Fabrics.
Brandy, it's adorable. You did a great job. Give yourself a pat on the back from me!
Otter Thomas! I totally thought Brandy meant sewer, too. As in this def from the Free Dictionary. "An artificial, usually underground conduit for carrying off sewage or rainwater." I was linking over and kept thinking, "what could she mean?" then so the fabric and went "duh!" LOL!
awww ilove it!!! i love those fabrics.....
He is too cute! I read the title like 10 times before I realized it wasn't saying "why I need to be a sewer (like underground sewage pipe)"! Haha.
LOVE him!! And, so what about his right wing and no feet...it.gives him character!! I take back that comment about Chris needing an etsy store to sell his duct tape creations (lol), YOU need an etsy store...for serious!!!
I'm the same way!! I want to learn how to sew!
That owl is sooo cute. I'm really impressed. I feel the same way about fabric stores as you do, in awe of all the possibilities.
That is pretty cute!
I'm a total fabric junkie. That's why I started Happily Home Sewn - gotta pay for the fabric habit!
Hahahaha! I love your little owl!
My husband bought me a nice sewing machine about five years ago. I've never used it because I've never learned how to use it. I keep saying I will take some lessons. Maybe this fall when school starts I'll have some time.
That owl is so super cute!!!
