Chris asked me if I was excited to go and honestly "not really" I knew how much work it would be. I knew how busy Grayson would be. I knew that he doesn't understand staying still or sitting down. And I was right. I wore myself out keeping up with him. .

Grayson had a wonderful time and just loved everything. The planes, stealing rocks from the war memorial, trying to keep up with the big kids, gatorade. He never got upset or cranky (except when we ran out of sour patch kids) - side note - it is super difficult to take a decent picture of Chris!

I love this picture. This is my nephew Tyler. It looks like they are sharing a joke or a secret.

I know what you mean. Everyone thinks you should be super excited to do anything, but they must all forget how much work it is to pack for and run after a toddler for hours! And somehow, the guys end up doing LESS.
Of course, you're right. It usually ends up being worth it. And that does describe the mommy thing in general. A whole lot of work, but SO worth it!
Ahhh to be a baby and be able to white trash it shirtlessly out in public without people batting an eye. I can't believe he slept through fireworks! He must have been beat!
I get this! So why do we continue to do it...I don't know but I hope they appreciate it:)
Sweet pictures.
And yup, I've done lots of things that I didn't really want to. But I did it for the kids.
i am so with ya!
I love the 4th but it is TOO HOT to be chasing around so I feel ya!
It looks like it was fun, though!
I looked at last year's post...wow, he is SO much bigger!!
Cute pictures! I understand completely...we moms do a lot of things for the sake of the kids. He looks like he had a blast though and it wiped him out! I hope you were able to enjoy the fireworks after he went to sleep!
It looks like it was a great day. Family & friends is always down for good times. Grayson was pooped!
I had sour patch kids at the show, love those things.
