I think Grayson was ready for his big boy bed. He jumped on it. and wallered on it. and messed. And then went to sleep in it.
Night 1 - he went to sleep in it with minimal fussing. And slept great until 1ish. He fell out of it 3 different times. Finally I put him in our bed and he slept until 6ish (when the alarms go off). And guess what? He was mad that he was in our bed and wanted back in his.
The nana bought Grayson the super cute automobile toddler bed set and new pajamas. The ladies on BBC suggested a Monster Noodle as a bumper -yes like the swimming pool one - and we cut it down to the length of the mattress and slipped it under his fitted sheet. And guess what? He didn't fall out once!

We read a book and then I turned out the light and he went to sleep and stayed there ALL NIGHT. I know! Who's child is this? My Grayson is difficult and stubborn and ridiculous.
But this new big boy bed Grayson is awesome. But I deserve it to be easy once. He was such a bad bad bad infant. I deserve a good toddler.

Yay!! Congratulations! BTW that last pic of him is the cutest picture ever, adorable!!
Yay G! That's good he wanted in his bed. They grow up too fast!!!
You should let him stay "bad" until he's a teenager....then he could POSSIBLY turn "good" on you! HA!
And....exactly HOW many blankets does he have in his bed with him?
Yay! So glad he took to it so well. I'm sure it will make a BIG difference in the sleep YOU get.
Oh, he's so cute I almost can't stand it... my big question is: How did YOU sleep?
I'm not ready to go with the toddler rail yet, I'm afraid of what she'll get into in the middle of the night. It's good for me to keep her contained still.
Sounds like it's working out perfect! So happy about that. That noodle idea was a good one.
That noodle thing is brilliant!!
Hooray for big boy beds!! He looks so cute and happy! And that noodle thing is so smart!
YAY! Big boy bed. Does he go down well for naps. I found that the hardest part when we moved Tim.
Oh, Brandy! I am SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!!!!!!
I'm so glad he loves his new bed! I think boys like to feel all grown up!
Ethan LOVES reading in his bed. In fact, I checked on him last night, and he had a book on his face! He was asleep!
SO happy he likes it. He looks like such a big boy! We really need to get these boys together sometime soon!
Ok you made me feel better about myself. My little man is eight months and he just moved out of our room into his own. Now I don't feel so bad. I thought we may be scarring him for life. :)
That is awesome. He looks so cute and happy in his big boy bed. I don't look forward to trying that out. First I don't know if I can switch the crib into a toddler bed without screwing it all up. Second Braden will never stay in his bed. There is no way.
On a side note I am worried about Chris. First you tell me he uses a loofah and now he won't let Grayson sleep in another room.
So cute! That's AWESOME it's going so well. Bed transitioning was a rough go for my little ones, so hooray for Grayson.
And OMG, the pool noodle idea is BRILLIANT. I wish I knew about it way back when!
I love the idea of a noodle under the sheet! Great ! Super exciting that he did so well! How did YOU sleep?
So sweet, his bed looks like Natalie's. She climbed out of her crib at a year and a half so we had to get her a big girl bed fast.
Yey!!! And he looks so happy!!!
I haven't moved Ethan yet:(. He is still in his crib. I'm worried he is going to get up in the middle of the night and eat the plug covers or burn himself on the night light or pull all the books down on top of himself or hundreds of other things he might do do hurt himself. I'm such a worrier.
He is just so stinkin' adorable!!!!
Love it. :)
HOORAY!!!!! CONGRATS!!!!! ...HE is soooooo cute.....
Oh I'm so proud of him! and you! LOL Jackson is still in his crib...and will be until he learns to crawl out of it. I'm too worried about what he would get into in the middle of the night!
Those pictures are SO cute...especially the last one!
And...omg, who would've thought the transition to the big boy bed would go so well...yay for you...and Grayson!!
That monster noodle bit...brilliant, and I'm so stealing that idea!
I'm so, so, so happy for you!
Both my kids used to fall out of bed. But guess what? I'd go in to check on them, and they'd be asleep on the floor! They didn't even wake up!
Elliot has the same bedding (only his is twin size). I even got a clock, wall decals and window valance to match (pics on my blog). I love hearing him wake up saying "truck, truck"!!
YAY!~!!! what a great step for you all!!
