Crazy Nana Christmas

The crazy nana Christmas is the nana, my dad, my dad's GF, her daughter and my little brother. Yes I am 30 and Yes - the little bro is 3. yeah. really.

We got to the CN's around 4 because we went to Chris's moms first. This pissed the CN off - even though she waits until my dad tells her when he's going to be there. THE DAY BEFORE.

Whatev. They had already opened presents and ate. I knew what our presents were because I shopped for them and wrapped them.

Chris didn't know that he was getting a gift card to a Beer Store to buy a kegging kit. He was pumped.

Which put him in a MUCH better mood after having to put together G's wagon, while G and Jesse "helped" and tried to sit in it as is.

Jesse and G enjoyed playing together. And Jesse wasn't quite the bully that's he has been in the past.

Just a fun picture.

This pretty much shows how cooperative G was for the day.

CN went around trying to shove fried okra down our throats. and caused Jesse and G to bump heads when they were playing on the bed. But overall it was a decent time. I wish they were drinkers. Then it woulda been a great time.

***SIDENOTE***I was also featured over at my IRL friend Jennifer's blog. Yes I can say IRL because she's local to me AND I met her once for like 3 minutes at the fair. Unfortunately it was an awkward 3 minutes. Because I SUCK at first impressions and small talk. And she's gone to my Zumba class like 2 times. I wasn't there, but we are practically besties. And she's somehow marriage-related to someone I went to high school with. It's like destiny or fate or weird. whatev.

Grayson - the parrot

Yes - I said Crazy Nana was next but pictures are at home. Sorry boutcha.

Instead we will talk about the joys of having a toddler echo.

Chris was playing Call of Duty - after he died he said "SHIT!"
Grayson whispers shit.

I'm trying to fasten G in his car seat. It's not cooperating Me: "What the Fuck!?" couple seconds later I say just "WHAT THE...."
Grayson finishes my sentence with Fuck.

My mom, sister, nephew, and us in the kitchen after finishing lunch. Me: "Let's go watch a movie, bitches."
Grayson shouts BITCHES. 14 times.

So YA - parents of the year. Merry Christmas to me.

Christmas Part 2 and a present FROM Grayson

Christmas noon - we headed to Chris's Family's house. Chris's mom cooked a traditionally delicious meal. And G opened his present.

He got a bicycle. He loves it and can *almost* pedal.

Grayson gave his own present to family members. I had the SUPER bright idea for G to make a tiny little 4x6 handprint photo. That turned into let's just go with the 11x14 poster.

I really have NO idea how they keep them so clean at daycare and they come home with awesome artwork that actually resembles a handprint reindeer.

The final product. It was my IRL friend Sheila's idea to include pictures of the artistic process. I think it turned out super cute and wish I had one for myself.

I also gave the tea towels that Sheila and I made from this tutorial HERE.

Next up is the Crazy Nana Christmas. and it was CRAZY and loud. and crazy.

Merry Christmas 1.0

We did Christmas at our house with my mom, sister, nephew, husband, and G first.

We actually opened presents on Christmas Eve. But Santa brought the train table for G on Christmas morning.

G loved opening presents. He opened half of Tyler's without caring what was in them. Including this personal trimmer.

Presents are fun!

G was super spoiled and got everything that he's not old enough to ask for. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas.

Random Tuesday - the Grayson edition

G gets cuter every day. Brattier too - but oh so cute.

I try to sing Santa Clause is Coming to Town - and G says, "no - gone"

We had to watch The Wizard of Oz 3 times this weekend. And he asked "What's that" over and over.

He had no interest in the huge box that is the kitchen he's getting for Christmas. Until I wrapped it.

He's transitioning to a new classroom at school.

He was pretty good while shopping with the Nana on Saturday even without a nap. And wore his monkey "backpack" everywhere.

He is really good at drinking out of a cup. and wants milk in a coffee cup every night.

He likes to read Brown Bear to me.

This is just a snippet of his cuteness. He's my personal Christmas gift that I thank God for everyday.

Happy birthday to all the other December babies that are turning 2! I can't believe that our babies are growing so quickly.

Cute video of him blowing Raspberries
video

SUPER cute video of him putting his head in the popcorn tin. Don't ask me.

Santa is not our friend this year.

We went to the Santa Party again this year. You bring a present for your child with his name on it and leave it outside and then when Santa gets there he brings all the presents in and gives each child their present.

Grayson did GREAT last year.

This year....not so much.

I think part of the problem was that Santa called G's name FIRST. G had no chance to see all the other kids going up to the hairy red man and get presents.

And thought it was a much better idea to sit on my lap and just get his present. Nope - no happening. Please excuse G's red cheeks - we are trying to clear it up with vaseline (it's looking better daily.) and do NOT look at my crap hair. NO - don't look.

I would have looked better if I'd stuck a giant hat shaped like an ass on my head. but somehow it didn't seem to match the occassion.

I'm calling in Sick.

I'm sick. I've got some head crap going on and I'm just sooooooo tired. I stayed home yesterday but I'm trying to tough it out today.

Toughing it out sucks but I don't want people to talk about me for missing so much work. I'm a girl, I worry about dumb stuff like that.

I have a million things to do. Tomorrow is our Christmas Work Party / Gift Exchange thingy. It doesn't have a real name. Maybe we should call it something where the acronym spells L.A.M.E.

I still don't have a present with a value of $20

I was going to take some melted snowmen cookies that my friend Dawn posted on facebook, but that seems like sooooo much work. Right breathing is taking all my energy. And who's gonna eat some cookies the sick girl hacked on. just sayin.

I watched Eat Pray Love yesterday while at home sick. meh. I wasn't impressed. Maybe it was my mood or maybe it was because I couldn't hear half of what they were saying because my ears are clogged up. Don't kick me out of the girl club - I'll cry. I'm not a pretty crier.

I hate blowing my nose in front of people. I worry about the residual snot. And I'm a snot-checker. I need to check out my snot to see how sick I am. I can't do that in front of people.

I'm off to the DR now. Have a great day.

Random Tuesday

randomtuesday

Hi Randomness!

I won a giveaway on my very sweet friend, Debby's blog. And she included a present for Grayson because she's the nicest ever. Grayson loved opening it and thought it was awesome. Thanks Debby.

We went to Toys R Us last night to look at Train tables which I think is going to be G's big present this year. He LOVED the cars. He would go from one to the other - over and over. We stayed in that area for like 45 minutes

He was rather fond of the Escalade which costs about as much as a car payment.

And here he is in his bounce house yesterday morning after deciding that he didn't want to go to school.

G and I have the crud. still or again. Whichever.

The Nana wanted to get G's cake for his birthday party. She griped about which kind I got (Round) - She griped about the cost ($38) She griped that she had to carry it in the wind - She griped that Chris asked how the caked got messed up (she messed it up carrying it in the wind)

I told Chris that it's not worth it - that I'll just buy my own damn cake next year. So help me remember that.

The Nana has been in a super foul mood lately. I think it's because she's having casino withdrawals. She's trying to save money for Christmas so she's not going to the casino.

I *thought* I had an xbox kinect. But they processed the order for 4 days and I finally cancelled it. Liars.

G had a birthday party and Chris got his Christmas present.

Grayson's party was fun. I had the photographer come again. She only charged me $50 to come for an hour and to put the edited pictures on a CD. So worth it.

These are the few pictures I took myself. This is G's 2nd cousin, Maura, giving him Bye Bye Kisses.
She's a little persistent. Notice the feet off the floor. And the priceless facial expression.

G refused to open his own presents at his party. There was just too much going on. He wanted to play. But once everyone had left - we let Tyler open his present. Tyler's 16th birthday was the same day as G's party.

Grayson LOVED opening Tyler's presents.

And this is Chris's Christmas present. He had a 2006 Nissan Xterra which was a standard. He was hating it for quite a while. He brought this car home and his favorite part is that he "didn't have to shift gears 1 time! the car did it for him!"

It's a 2005 Toyota Avalon. It has everything imaginable on it. Including a cassette player. Who knew they still made cassettes in 2005. And it has remote start. and heated leather seats. HATE Chris's face.

Oh and our payment went down.
