I've been feeling cook-y.

Maybe I have tumor, because this is definitely out of character for me.

I made 2 different recipes of pumpkin chocolate chip muffins this weekend. Because I didn't like how the first batch turned out.

First batch

I used this recipe for the 2nd batch with mini chocolate chips. MUCH BETTER.

I attempted to make pumpkin monkey bread last night. It didn't turn out so well. I think because I don't own a bundt pan. yes really. In 12 years of marriage - I've never felt the need to use a bundt pan. Until last night.

Poor Sheila is totally the girl in our relationship so I was texting her all kinds of crap.

Me: I don't own bundt pan - now what?
Me: Can I cook the drip beef in the crock pot on low all day tomorrow?
Me: What kind of italian season did you use
Me: Here's what I bought

actual picture texted to Sheila

Me: Is the monkey bread supposed to be doughy?
Me: Chris said yes but if so - there is no way in hell I'm eating that
Me: The bread looks like shit but tastes good.

Drip beef recipe = this one

I also had to google pepperoncinis while in the grocery store.
So I will never be betty freakin crocker.

I don't have bundt pan either...I should probably get one though. I've been wanting to be a little baker as of late too...must be the change in seasons.

LOL....you rock. :)
I will give you my Kahlua Cake recipe, it's the best reason to own a bundt cake pan. For serious.

In other news......you are totally Ms Kitchen Thang right now! I wish I was that productive. :)

Actually I did a double take! I am excited to see that you are baking.
Has Pinterest inspired you? When I started blogging I got excited to cook again, then it kinda phased out but now I am back at it! Keep going, you can do it. I had one that didn't turn out good this weekend.

Loved reading your texts, I would have the same way. I'm clueless with a lot of things in the kitchen or baking, etc. The muffins looked good though! So what if you won't be Betty Crocker, you do give it a great try!!

betty

We all start somewhere. But it looks like you are off to a great start! Good luck in all your baking adventures. ;)

Yah I didn't have a bunt pan for the longest time as well, so don't feel to bad.

YUM!! Those look so good! Neil banned me from baking a while ago...his reasoning was that we had to lose weight (which we do)...but we are still fat, so I'm thinking I might as well bake since nothing has really changed since I stopped in the first place. ;)
