I mean EVERYTHING.
I bought him super cute rainboots at Target sometime ago. I was thinking "cute! He can play in them"
He was thinking "These are the best boots EVER and I will wear them FOREVER"
He wears them everywhere with everything. ALWAYS.
I took him to Stride Rite last night and had him fitted for new shoes. I let him pick out super obnoxious Spiderman shoes. That are so red. and blue. But they are SHOES!
I'm like ya baby - no more stinky boots.
He wore his boots to school today.

So this stubborn streak that Emma is on will last a while longer? I may go insane.
oh man...I totally understand. It's usually Addie's way or the highway...so if I do put my foot down it's meltdown city. It's just not worth it. Want to wear your red ruby Dorothy shoes with that orange shirt? Whatev.
Toddlers!
Bruiser has the meltdown if he's told no down to a science. Drive me crazy. The kid is loud. But he's slowly learning that what we say we mean--it's a slow process and takes much wine after bedtime on the parents part--but he's beginning to get it.
Still though, I wish he'd stop sleeping with he cars but,it's not worth the fight.
Oh boy! I couldn't help but laugh when he wore the boots today. I pretty much use the "it's in the washer" excuse. No one's been the wiser so far...
Uh oh! LOL
throw the stinky boots away lol is that mean?
That is so funny with the boots when he has a brand new pair of shoes! I do love the shoes.
At least I am not the only one...
At least 3 days a week I have to talk my 6 year old out of wearing shorts to school. It's COLD.
But I see it as progress...he was doing it every day.
Sometimes we have to pick our battles to fight, LOL. I learned early let them wear what they want for the most part; shorts when it is cold, so be it (when they are older of course). If they get cold, they'll remember my advice not to wear them the next time on a cold day. I'd say "let him wear the boots". One, they might wear out. Two, he might outgrow them and then "oh geesh, no more boots....."
betty
G sounds like Bree...so headstrong. It's aggravating.
Bubba has spiderman shoes almost just like those but his are not stride rite and they match NOTHING but the one old spiderman shirt he owns!
LOVE it...G is my kind of kid!!
bahahah Maggie is the same way! except I bribe her with no play group or tell her that Santa is watching and she usually caves ;)
LOL....I know that problem well. Munch insists everything is too little....unless he wants to wear it. So he's usually got his John Deer boots on. Thankfully I can usually wrestle him out of his superman footed pajamas. Not always the cape though.
Forget the terrible twos, wait until you have the terrible twenties......
Ha! You are not alone Sister. I refuse to give up the fight though. Our kids are so cute and there are so many cute clothes out there screaming to be worn by our cute kids. Press on! :)
LOL!!!! I'm laughing because I completely understand what you are going through! Sarah's big thing is a specific outfit though. It's a sundress and she wants to wear it even if it's 40 degrees outside. I've had to do some negotiating myself...I didn't think that 2 year olds cared so much about their clothes and shoes!! I don't remember my older two going through this phase.
