Your point that being home alone was awesome just cracks me up. My kids are older now (13 and almost 16), but I remember how hard it was when they were little.

I had an overnight stay in the hospital after an ACL repair when the kids were 4 and 7. Family and friends offered to be there with me and I told them to LEAVE ME ALONE! It was better than a spa day! An entire day and night by myself, people waiting on me, bringing me food, and morphine? dude....
