It sucks. But I honestly can't find a spare minute.

I see now how people just drop out of the bloggy world. Life gets in the way.

Work is busy and aggravating and challenging. I'm grateful that I have job. But I'm sick of griping about it.

The hubby's work is even worse.

Talk about dumb stress.

I did pay someone to clean my house yesterday. And it made me incredibly happy to come home to a clean house.

The nana is crazy! Yes still. She asked me if I've enjoyed ignoring her for 2 weeks. And I let her have it. Like "it" IT.

I explained that my job has been hell. She doesn't get it.

G is cute and satan's spawn all at the same time.

I seriously watched this show called I'm pregnant and a stripper. It was KA-razy.

Like she had a male stripper at her baby shower.

I'm done rambling.

My coworker got fired because of the terrible awful. She had worked here 18 years and now just gone. It's a sad confusing upsetting time.

I'm still waiting on my punishment. While I didn't DO the terrible awful, I was her boss and should've known it was no good.

I'm working today - even though our business is closed because of MLK. I worked yesterday.

I will be working lots and lots until we hire someone or something.

I'm bummed. I love SO MUCH about my job. SO MUCH.

Then there's big looming shadow over me. I wonder when it's going to be ME that gets fired. ME that is devastated.

I've mentioned it before but I still think the big looming shadow is out to get me. It's just a matter of time.

So do I take preemptive measures and find another job where I'm needed and WANTED.

Or do I suck dry every single perk of this job until I'm kicked out.

Let me explain the perks.

I've been sparkling on spark people. but totally hit and miss with the whole "tracking" thing. I would just kinda imagine the calories I was eating and go with it.

AND it's been the most stressful week ever. like ever. So I've drank a LOT of calories in wine form. A LOT.

AND it's friday the 13th so that totally has SOMETHING to do with it.

And next week I'll be broken. Or as Chris has started referring to it "Shark Week"
So there ya go. maybe next week will be better.

Change is coming

Lots of stuff has been going on with my job. I feel like the only time I write about work is when I'm anxious or upset. And that seems to be hitting home more often.

I still don't know what's going to happen with the error I made - I've been referring to it as the terrible awful in my head.

The terrible awful is weighing me down.

Sometimes I don't even know why I blog. I'm not a good writer. I haven't been good at nourishing those friendships I've made along the way.

I post less and less and less....

And then I don't know what to say. I take less pictures. I do less things. I honestly just try to make it through the day. And who wants to hear about my daily grind, when you are trying to make it through your own day?

There are a million things unsaid. Unsaid because I don't even know who reads these words anymore.

And a video of G singing, because he is just THAT cute. And just because.

There are days when I wish I didn't have to make important decisions.

Where I didn't have a career.

Where I didn't screw something up.

Days when I wish I had a private blog so I could rant and rave and bitch and moan.

Where all I have to do is sleep as late as G will let me.

And my biggest decision is what's for lunch.

Days that are light
and my shoulders don't feel so heavy.

This day I feel like I'm balancing on a high wire.

I feel like every word I say or type has me off balance. That every ... is heavy.

I went on a date with my husband. G went to Mimi's and played with his almost 3-yr old cousin ALL DAY Saturday.

And was completely spoiled by it. On Sunday - he kept making me play with him. Like it's the NEW THING.

"Look for clues with me"
"fight bad guys with me"
"quit reading People and get off your lazy ass and entertain me, dammit"
(ok he didn't say that but we was thinking it)

Anyway - a date. With just Chris and I. for HOURS.

We saw The Devil Inside - it sucked ass.
We shopped at the mall - I got a new purse. Woot.
We ate.

Then we got confused about what to do next. That's all we know - movie, shop, eat.

We ended up at the casino. We each had $20. Chris walked out with none and I walked out with $20.01 - I'm awesome like that.

We discussed what we would do during a zombie apocolypse. I decided that I'm not gonna make it. We'd have to grow our own food. And eat out of cans. And no Wi-Fi.

I rely too much on the Man. I like the Man. The Man keeps me happy. The Man has Pei Wei.

I'm starting completely over. New Year - New Goal.

I joined Sparkpeople. Is that one word or two?

Anyway it's supposed to be like a super popular fitness/weight loss site. and FREE. woot.

I did weight watchers last year and it seems that unless I ACTUALLY pay and go to meetings - I stop doing it.

But Spark people is gonna be my new thing. Like I'm gonna be all over its business.

When I figure out what the hell I'm doing.

I watched like 47 videos and they said things. But since they were not as interesting as Vampire Diaries, I was pretty much like whatevs.

Did you know there were 22 episodes in each season of Vampire Diaries? 22! I feel like I hit the netflix jackpot.

Ahem - Sparkpeople. I'll let you know.

I also went to a NEW zumba class BY MYSELF. I didn't know anyone. Or where to go or what it would be like. But I went. And it was awesome.

It's at the YMCA that is 5 mintues away from my house. I left my house at 5:20 and was home by 6:35. Definitely the best part.

My other zumba class was 20-25 mintues away. So with class and travel time - it was taking 2 hours to go.

I looked at the other classes that this YMCA offers and it seems pretty cool - I really really want to join. It's $42/month for me or $72/month for family. I want Chris to join too.

So I don't know if y'all wanna linky it up again or what but here ya go. LOVE your FAF faces.

In the spirit of blogging - I thought I should actually blog.

Peel and stick nails. It was super easy to do but i ended up picking them off within a week.

I actually sewed a curtain for G's room. I will probably sew the other one next month.

We had a spontaneous new years eve party with 3 other couples. It was a blast. We Karaoked.

And G and his friend stayed up until 1. crazy-ness.

Grayson says bad words. Too much. We are working on it.

4 - Was doing so good then I crashed.

2012 resolutions look pretty much the same.

1 - Make resolutions - DONE! (I just like having one to cross off immediately)
2 - Weigh less this time next year. My real goal is to lose another 20 pounds. AT LEAST!

The years go so fast. It feels like I JUST wrote this post about being married 10 years.

12 years ago - Chris and I ran off to Eureka Springs and eloped. And I wasn't pregnant. But he was on leave from the Air Force. And there was NO WAY we could be together if we weren't married.

We were 18 & 19 years old. and dumb. and in love.

12 years later. We've built this life and this family and this world. And it was hard. and happy.

Chris and I were discussing someone getting a divorce. And he said sometimes it sucks for 2 or 3 months. And you get caught up in that. And you trick yourself into thinking that it has sucked forever. But it will get better and it does get better.

We know. We have been to marriage counseling 3 different times. We are not perfect. And our marriage is not perfect.

But we have support and respect and love for each other. And for Grayson.

We have a different love than we did at 18. and a different love than we did at 25. and a different love today.

But it's there.

Photography DRAMA

I have issues.

I love getting our family pictures done but I can't find "the one" You know - the ONE photographer that is affordable and professional and timely and talented. And I want a CD with rights. And AFFORDABLE.

G's newborn pictures were taken at JCP. HATED them. I'm just not a fan of studio shots.

Then I found a girl in my hometown that took TONS of photos but had shoddy editing.

Then I found a girl via Craigslist. LOVED her face off. She met all my criteria. She caught "the shot" and had mad editing skills. I used her for G's 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and 1 year. And every time she got just a little less afforable. And because she was that talented - she got too expensive.

I cheated on her with a new girl - met through a friend of a friend - and she was affordable and mad skillz. She did G's 18 month pictures. Then she decided to be weird (became a swinger) and not pursue photography anymore. *sigh*

Then I found another chick. Who I kinda liked ok. She did G's 2 year pictures. I'm not sure why I didn't just go with her again but she was a little on the pricey side.

So another photog - who did a friends pictures. I had such high hopes. Then she rescheduled our first appointment without me even knowing until I messaged her at 2pm THAT DAY.

Finally a new appt - which she was late to.

THEN turnaround was supposed to be 2-2.5 weeks. (TOTALLY UNDERSTAND)

BUT no pictures until OVER a month later. AFTER I bugged her 3 days in a ROW!

And I'm super mad. Because I WANTED to like her. I WANTED to be photog besties. But I just can't.

Operation: Drug Seeker

I did it.

I saw my doctor yesterday. He basically wanted to make sure my Citalopram was working or if I needed a different anti-depressant.

I explained that 90% of the time I'm good. But then THE NANA.

I did tell him I was deciding between seeing him of carrying a flask. He laughed. I didn't.

I also told him that I just can't. That I'm at Target with her and Grayson and it's MAYHEM. and I can't deal.

I'm now the proud owner of 20 tablets of Valium. with no refills.

He explained that I should probably only take 1 or 2 a week and only when necessary (the nana)

That I should not be taking one to just hang out at the house alone.

I told him that being home alone was awesome by itself.

So at 1 or 2 a week - These SHOULD last me several months.

I hope I still have some after New Years.

Kidding.... mostly.

Gone to the Dark Side

The crazy nana..... There are no words, really.

She drives me NUTS!!!! I took off work to do the Christmas shopping thing with her on Monday. We started at 8:30 AM and I dropped her off at home at 7ish (that night).

I was doing pretty well even though in the first 10 minutes she commented about how I just rolled out of bed and got her. Which I actually took a shower AND put on makeup. But I guess I still looked like shit.

I did good when she tried to make the poor girl at Drysdales run her legs off looking for something that didn't exist - black steel toe boots.

I was maintained while she told me for the 470th time that she used to work at Drysdales and they need to make sure she is happy.

I was a good girl while at JCP she called the cashier a "stupid bitch" . It was where only I could hear it, but really? Where's the Christmas spirit?

Then Walmart. Walmart is evil all on its own without the Nana.

So while I was trying to decide between pushing the Nana into their Christmas tree and running. Or choking her and stuffing her in a $5 DVD bin.

I used my secret weapon. Valium. Yes drugs. Illegal-not-prescribed-to-me-drugs. My friend gave me one just for the CNE. Crazy Nana Emergency.

I took it and it was heaven. I didn't feel drugged up or anything. Just mellow. Just less angry and lashy-outy.

I want more drugs.

Because I will be seeing the nana a LOT before Christmas is over. More shopping. I have to wrap all the presents (because she's too busy and doesn't know how) and stocking stuffers.

And that's my dilemma. How to go to my doctor and say "Yo, I need some Valium. Because the nana is crazy. Not regular "old people crazy" but CRAZY CRAZY. And I took an illegal valium and it made life better, so can you hook a sistah up?"

Last night we went to the hometown to see my nephew, Tyler, play his band concert.

It's weird to graduate from a small town and move away. I run into people that I'd rather not see again.

The guy that was my first kiss was sitting in the row in front of me. And my first serious boyfriend and the bitch he left me for were also somewhere in the audience because their kid is in band.

It's just weird. And I like to make up a fantasy thing in my head where The Big City Chick swoops into town after having escaped that hell hole. And I turned out totally awesome.

The Christmas Train

We took G to the Christmas Train after his party on Saturday. It's like a christmas town type thing and has a train and tells the story of Jesus as you ride through different scenes

Or as Grayson puts it, "We rode train and saw space and God"

It was good except we waited 25 minutes to get on the train and were approx 30 seconds away from boarding and G tells me that he has to potty. I ask him to hold it until after.

He pees on me on the train.

Tyler not knowing kinda tries to tickle G and G hollers, "Yeave me alone. I'm havin a bad day"

We get cleaned up as best as we can and try to enjoy the rest of the town.

Friday Check-In

Fat Ass Friday is on Holiday Hiatus. I don't wanna watch all the yummy-ness I'm eating.

So this morning I weighed and I'm at 235.2 so unless I gain 22 lbs in the next 3 weeks (which is possible) I will still be down for the year.

And in January - Operation: Skinny Bitch and the Skinny Train and FAF is ON!

Tomorrow is G's party. I feel totally scatter-brained about it this year. I have things. G has his outift ready to go.

My plan is everyone to look at the cute kid instead of my house. or the decorations - which are looking crazy and not like they should in my head.

It's weird when people I talk to in real-life read my blog and then I talk to them about stuff. Like I forget they read and already know that funny story.

So I lose my flow or footing or .... something.

I suppose I could ask them about them and their life because they don't blog and I'm not psychic. I kinda suck at not talking about myself (I know, right)

And I really suck at small talk.

I really am an awkward person.

So I don't know what to say that I haven't said.

G's birthday party is this weekend.

I have a respiratory infection but started a Z-pack yesterday. I have a crapload of stuff to do before his party.

Like buy a maid and professional house decorator/party planner.

I go crazy when I'm having a party at the house.

Like I develop a superpower where I can see every tiny flaw in my house. Like the paint is chipped on a cabinet door. Or I feel the urge to go buy new blinds because I feel like my blinds aren't white enough.

I really don't know why I put myself through the stress.

I-spy {novelty} Quilt

It's crazy crooked but it's for G and he doesn't know any better.

The novelty prints were collected through shopping and swaps. Swaps are fun because it's a surprise and you get some unique prints.

I did semi straight line stitching to quilt it. with semi free motion around the border. It's just crazy stitching.

This one took a long time because I just got to a point and stopped. And couldn't get started again.

I have already started another one am really SUPER excited about it. It's my biggest quilt yet.

I miss y'all.

We finally got our family pictures done after some rescheduling issues.

I did not take a valium because I wasted it on a night out with the nana. So I had to suffer through pictures in the cold without a medicinal aid. dammit.

I often think of just carrying a flask around with me. I know some moms use that glass of wine at the end of the night to undwind.

Do you know when I need to unwind? In the middle of Target - when G is wanting to "take this home" and just puts random stuff in the cart. Or is riding the random tricycle he found in toys around the whole store.

Just a nip would help.

I finished a quilt over a week ago and haven't taken pictures or blogged about it.

Our family pictures are being rescheduled (not my fault) but I still don't have a date/time and would like to order Christmas cards! I won a shutterfly giveaway from Lovely (WOOT)

I missed FAF 2 weeks in a row!

I started a new quilt and no pictures.

I put more fancy pictures up in G's room and in my office/craft room and NO PICTURES!

I'm having freak me out scheduling issuses because of a birthday party, christmas activities, and a certain OU/OSU game.

Toddler Negotiations

I'm really bad at getting G to do what I want. He basically wants to do EXACTLY what he wants at all times and that is usually the opposite of my idea.

I mean EVERYTHING.

I bought him super cute rainboots at Target sometime ago. I was thinking "cute! He can play in them"

He was thinking "These are the best boots EVER and I will wear them FOREVER"

He wears them everywhere with everything. ALWAYS.

I took him to Stride Rite last night and had him fitted for new shoes. I let him pick out super obnoxious Spiderman shoes. That are so red. and blue. But they are SHOES!

I'm like ya baby - no more stinky boots.

He wore his boots to school today.

Totally Random Update

Grayson was sick last week all the way through the weekend. He had croup and a sinus infection. He couldn't go to school. So me and him hung around for 4 straight days.

It just reinforces that I am not SAHM material. Kudos to you.

He got exactly this far from me at all times.

At one point we did manage to go out to eat and he pulled gum out from under the table.

I took it away from him as soon as I noticed.

But then had to cut this gum out of his hair.

He also managed to rip $17 in half. When I asked him why - he said "I do like the man on TV" I have no idea.

It has been taped and spent.

I picked out this shirt (I almost typed shit) for family pictures.

Which are Thursday.

I bought this shirt for G

I'm a little worried about getting him to wear it. Because he has boycotted long sleeves.

And I need to get him shoes because I refuse to let him wear his rain boots.

And I'm already trying to think of bribing tools for good pictures. Advice?

We did a carnival friday night, a campy cute 'n' spooky saturday night, and trick or treating last night.

Towards the end - he was getting tired and sitting everywhere. Like on people's porches - while waiting for them to bring him candy.

He would only wear his mane for pictures.

Maybe I have tumor, because this is definitely out of character for me.

I made 2 different recipes of pumpkin chocolate chip muffins this weekend. Because I didn't like how the first batch turned out.

First batch

I used this recipe for the 2nd batch with mini chocolate chips. MUCH BETTER.

I attempted to make pumpkin monkey bread last night. It didn't turn out so well. I think because I don't own a bundt pan. yes really. In 12 years of marriage - I've never felt the need to use a bundt pan. Until last night.

Poor Sheila is totally the girl in our relationship so I was texting her all kinds of crap.

Me: I don't own bundt pan - now what?
Me: Can I cook the drip beef in the crock pot on low all day tomorrow?
Me: What kind of italian season did you use
Me: Here's what I bought

I'm feeling better.

I watched American Horror Story on Fx. It's way weird. Lots of Butt Shots though. But weird. But Now I have to watch the 2nd episode because I just have too.

I'm almost done with another quilt. I'm going shopping today to get binding. YAY.

I suck at taking pictures. I only have crappy iphone pics for the last few months. I need to take G to the pumkpin patch and do the whole good camera shoot thing.

I''m scheduling our family pictures for November. Finding coordinate stuff to wear that's not too matchy-matchy is going to be the death of me.

I'm planning on doing some heavy-duty blog reading.

Grayson watches Toy Story 3 and Scooby's Camp Scare movies over and over and over.

G is having a pirate party for his birthday now. Instead of superhero. PIRATE. I have a new pinterest board devoted to it.

So Operation Skinny Bitch actually turned into Operation Sick Brandy. I was just a "I'm gonna sleep away life and never breathe or talk normal again" illness. Not a stomach - lose weight one. damn.

I do like that I went down - no matter how tiny. I weighed less yesterday though - 231.6. Just saying.

I'm tired of being fat. I want to be the cute one with cute clothes that feels good. I also can't tell myself that enough to not eat the chocolate.

This whole thing is just a war with myself. And I can't pick a side.

I will keep doing this FAF thing indefinitely because even though I haven't seen significant changes in my weight, that means I also haven't just let myself have free reign again and gained it all back. So I'm just gonna keep on, keepin on.

The potty train.

We've let G wear big boy unders on and off - pretty much when he's feeling it.

Well last Thursday - he decided he wanted to wear them to school. So he did. And we haven't looked back.

He wears a diaper at nap time and at night. I don't trust him one little bit. And since he's still cosleeping (shhhhhhhhh) I don't want to get peed on.

He's done AWESOME with the peeing. Totally getting the peeing part. Only a handful of pee accidents in a week.

Poop - poop is a no go. Well it's a go all up in his unders.

So ya. disgusting! I throw those nasty unders away. for real yo. I will buy new freakin batman unders before I will touch that nasty.

He got a new piggy bank from Target for his first accident-free day (he didn't poop that day)

He loves it and finding random money to put in it.

He also got new rain boots. And it's all he wears now. Like no shoes. or socks. Just rain boots.

Well when you have a pee accident in rain boots - it pools. just sayin.

I kind feel like I totally checked out of the universe for a few days and am rejoining society.

I'm like PAGES AND PAGES behind on Dlisted. Oh and my google reader says 1000+. I sucks.

I got new hair. Like professional highlights. I told Chris that once he sees that difference he would say "wow that looks so much better than the clearance box of stuff at walmart"

We went to the pumpkin patch and G got his face painted. I honestly can't believe he let them do it.

And then I would have weird moments the rest of the day - wondering why people were looking at my kid funny.

My girls got me this for Boss' Day. It makes me happy.

And g was putting on the santa beard.

I can't believe I posted a picture of my gross bathtub. I was asking chris if he could just go over the ugly with new white grout and it would look clean and pretty. but for some reason - it's gotta be a whole "process"

Sunday was one of THOSE days

I went to bed with a sore throat Saturday night and woke up with a worse one Sunday morning.

G woke me up at 6 AM

Then took a 45 minute nap at 11. and that's all.

Then he pooped in the playplace at Burger King

Then he locked himself in his room because the knob broke and I had to break the door frame.

Then he wouldn't let me lay down and sleep.

Then he clogged the toilet up with Lysol Wipes.

Ya it was that day.

And I'm sick. I went to the DR yesterday and am on Flonase and Amoxicillian.

This whole post is just so you will feel sorry for me.

Sheila and I are starting Operation: Skinny Bitch. Which is just an awesome name that means we are back to dieting or whatevs.

We are doing a yoga class at noon on Monday. And I better not fart. I will be so embarrassed and never ever go back even though I already bought 5 classes.

Back to Zumba next week. I might try a class closer to my house though. I do love going to the one with Sheila BUT it's a 2-hour commitment with class and driving time.

I'm not sure if I'm gonna be a runner again. I do still tell people that I am and bring it up regularly in conversations to strangers.

As far as food intake - I think I'm going to do the sparkpeople thing. It's free and I'm gonna be a calorie counter. I get super tired of trying to figure out WW points.

Grayson wore Big Boy unders to school today. He decided and I said ok.

I feel a little bad because I took a big bag of extra unders, shorts, and shirts. And told the teacher, Good luck.

I did a little cream hair removal last night.

Chris saw me liek this last night and told me that I didn't have a beard. I do. Even though my hair is super light - it's there. I be hairy, yo.

The fair is officially over. WOOT. I'm still exhausted and I'm not sure that I will ever catch up.

I have 90 bajillion posts that I haven't read and it's gonna take me 947 years to catch up.

Apparently everybody that I know has had a baby friend for their older child or is going to have a baby friend.

Screw you. I like being different. NO baby friends for me, yo.

Apparently I said yo a whole lot more during the fair and can't stop saying it.

My phone broke. It wouldn't come back on so I took it to the apple store and they restored it and said I can't put my backup on. I have to act like it's a new phone. So I lost all my contacts. Totes sad, yo.

I did manage to get all 1300 pictures off before that happened. woot.

FAF is back on for this week and it's gonna be bad. really really bad.

But I'm starting Operation: Skinny Bitch on Monday.

Sheila and I haven't really decided what that means but it will be happening.

Dentist Visit #3

G had a regular dentist appointment - I take him every 6 months as of last year. Dentist Visit #1 and Visit #2

He did awesome. Today was the first time he had to do the 360 rotating xray dealy. And he was awesome.

I totally took a stealth picture of the xrays on the computer.

He also had to get bite x-rays and was still well-behaved.

No tears. No fits. Just good.

Who's kid is this?!

He didn't want to wear the sunglasses no matter what and I was pretty much like whatevs.

They cleaned his teeth and did the vitamin thing on them.

2 dentists came and looked and said he has a prominent frenum that will most likely need surgery.

It's what's causing the gap between his teeth. The gap won't close even when his permenant teeth come in because of it.

So we have a consultation on October 12 to see if he needs surgery now or later.

It's called a Labial Frenectomy.

I told Chris about it and he's all "I don't like it. What if we say no?"

REALLY REALLY?? You want him to be madonna reincarnated? really?!!!!

I did a few for more things to G's room so things are getting little more polished or put together or whatevs.

The happy sign came from hobby lobby and makes my heart happy

and the tree came from etsy. I thought it might be a little too girly but I don't care because I like it.

My kid was being a total asshole today. He had a total meltdown for 20 minutes over wearing pants instead of shorts. It's pouring down rain.

Chris was being an asshole yesterday. He is worried about the fair/kid interfering with him watching the football game.

And I was an asshole because I told him he might actually have to be a daddy.

The fair is an asshole. I have some new duties added on to my already busy schedule so I will be busy and then busy and probably busy.

I'm little bit of an asshole because I haven't been around much. and it probably won't get any better.

I have boob stitches

Prepared to look at my cleavage a lot in this post.

I was having a mole lasered off. I went in 3 times to be lasered. On the 4th visit it was still there.

The DR said we are just gonna punch it out and put in a few stitches.

WAIT - WHAT?! I was prepared for re-lasering not stitches.

I've NEVER had stitches - except the baby-havin kind.

It just seemed like such a total random thing. To have stitches for a de-moling.

So he numbed me and gave me a shot.

Then he stuck this pencil looking cookie cutter thing over the mole and pushed it in - HOLY HELL, it hurt.

NOT my hairy-ness - just an example of he cookie cutter.

He said "oh you feel that?" ya think?!

So another shot - more waiting.

STILL HURTS

But he just went ahead and traumatized me for life.

I totally looked down after the punching and before the stitches and I had a hole in my chest.

Now I have 2 stiches that itch.

And G keeps asking to see my "boob stitches"

I'm pretty much feeling like a rockstar. I have no idea how I got back to *almost* being out of the 230s.

G's room remodeling has made me consume whole bags of mixed candy bars. But I've also painted, sanded, screwed. That HAS to burn some calories.

We are also playing with the neighbors a lot and G loves for me to run with him.

Yesterday I walked a couple of different times - just because.

I think one of the most exciting things about being a little bit in shape (very little) is that I don't lose my breath. I run with G and I'm good. I walk here and there and I'm good. And that just feels good.

I'm still taking the crazy meds. And I think they work. Like I don't want sit in a dark place for hours.

And I don't get as mad at Chris for being stupid. And when I do get mad, it seems so much easier to just let it go.

And I don't think about how many hours until G takes a nap as soon as I open my eyes in the morning.

I think I'm funny again. in a funny-ish kind of way.

I've had one glass of wine since I started taking them - whereas I was drinking at least one glass every single night.

But last night I wanted to take shots.

I went to dinner and Hobby Lobby and Walgreens with the Crazy Nana and G aka Brat.

At dinner - G was bad. He was like a monkey jacked up on mountain dew.

Then Crazy wants to go Hobby Lobby. WITH the brat. Where they have BREAKABLE things. LOTS of breakable things. And fake grapes everywhere. G is obsessed with the fake grapes.

And he does NOT listen. "G-come this way. GET AWAY FROM THE DAMN GRAPES. G-GET IN THE CAR" He's just all LA-TI-DA. And the Crazy Nana is off in La La land.

The Crazy Nana asks G at least 10 times a night if he loves her and he better because she bought him - fill in the blank.

Then we went to Walgreen's where she had me put a case of water in the basket. Then it was $1 too much at the register so she made me put it back. While G is getting newspapers and 5-hour energy drinks and putting them in the basket.

THEN I'm trying to put crap in the car. Trying to keep G from running around the parking lot. The NANA is wandering off with the shopping cart.

I get home and the first words to Chris are - "I NEED a shot"

Grayson's Room - The Dresser

I can never be a stripper when I grow up. Stripping furniture sucks ass.

the dresser went from this green thing that matched his old jungle nursery (That was such a cute nursery)

I used this chemical stripper first. It says to use gloves. DO IT! It says to wear a mask. DO IT! It says do NOT let it touch your skin. HOLY CRAP - It burns.

This was after the stripper.

Then I sanded and sanded and sanded and painted and painted and painted.

and oooooh la la la.

Yes I know I'm missing a knob - blame Grayson. He was "helping" - I'm pretty sure it is somewhere in the garage.

Updating you on various things

Work. I had several meetings with my immediate boss. Who told me not to worry.
So I kept my head down and did my job and reported my every move. I was told yesterday that I didn't have to do that anymore.
So for now - I'm content. And hopefully that stays true.

The damn MOLES are still there. I've had 3 laser treatmets so far and if they are not gone by Monday - I'm supposed to call them again.

I'm balls-deep in Grayson's room. (Am I allowed to use that phrase even though I'm a girl?)

He has a new bed that does not look as KA-POW green as it did in the store.

And the walls are so very beige. and the floor is beige. and the ceiling is dirty white. and it's like a giant beige box. It's the Knit Knots room from imagination movers.

But the very green bed helps. and the clearance comforter from target helps. And once I get the dresser painted and all these ideas done. It will be awesome. Maybe.

Saturday we started priming it. The before color is just that ugly.

I haven't taken any colors of the after yet. It's very beige. I think it will be ok once I get all the accents in there. I think i'm going to paint his dresser red.

Well I'm headed in the right direction. I really paid attention to what I ate this past week and tried to be really really good. smaller portions and lots of water.

I keep telling people I've lost almost 30 pounds but I've been exaggerating. But I'm going to keep on, keeping on.

I also finally bought some new work pants yesterday. I've been safety pinning my old ones. I bought 18s and they fit well. like not TOO tight. They just fit. It's awesome.

I’m mad at my job.

I’ve worked there for 5 years. I’ve done my job for 5 years.

I’m a supervisor. My employees do their job.

I’m able to perform effectively and efficiently with little or no supervision.

I make it easy on my boss.

I don’t like to gossip (I just listen). I don’t like drama. I’m not a busybody.

I don’t bitch as much as most. I show up more than some.

I just want to come to work and do my job.

Because I like it.

Unfortunately that’s not enough.

I was informed that I have to start tracking my day. What I do all day. Every day.

And this isn’t a company-wide thing – a selective group of people that have to do this.

I feel like I’m being picked on.

This comes on the heels of someone tattling on me that I’m behind on my job because I blog too much.

I don’t.

Just because people don’t know what I do, doesn’t mean that I don’t do anything.

It comes on the heels of maxing out my salary range after going without a raise in 2 years and no hope of a raise in the future.

I would be ok with that because I LIKE my job. I like that I’m close to Grayson. I like that they understand family needs. I like that they are flexible. I like that I don’t have to travel or work overtime. I like my freakin job!

But they don’t like me. And that’s why I’m so very hurt.

We have new neighbors straight across the street. Like our driveways and front doors face each other.

I've never been a good neighbor. We've always had old people neighbors so no being friends.

Well our new neighbors are our age and have an almost 4yo little girl.

He's from some other country and his name sounds like Pizza.

They transferred here with her job from Baltimore. That's like a whole different world. I'm guessing.

So last night they were outside and we went out and she had pulled something in her shoulder so I gave her a muscle relaxer. So obviously we are meant to be besties if she is willing to take a prescription pill from me - no questions asked.

Then her girl and G were in G's "classroom" {that's what he calls his bedroom because he doesn't sleep in there}

So I showed her my office. And she SEWS! and she SCRAPBOOKS! and she does jewelry (ok)

Her daughter sleeps with them. Like G

She used to work in accounting. Like Me.

Like I feel like this is pure fate that they would move in across the street and be my friends.

So how do I not screw this up? I've never been a neighbor.

I'm a little worried about being all stalkerish. Like I can see me hanging out in the driveway waiting for them to come home and saying hey. hey. hey. wanna play? wanna sew? hey. hello?

And then they will hide in their house.

Or they are all crazy. like they start dropping their kid off and leaving or they come over too much or they interrupt my weekend nap time. or they want to borrow sugar.

A pretty great weekend.

Grayson got a haircut. He loves getting them because the hair-cutting place is awesome and the guy is super fast.

I ran into 3 people I knew from the past in 2 days. WEIRD. And I seriously suck at the small talk.

We have new across the street neighbors that have a almost 4yo girl. G is already saying "that my friend. She live right THERE"

G went to a birthday party at a gymnastics place and had the best time ever.

I was totally doing my Make It or Break It moves.

All of G's friends moved up to the next class. He's 6 months younger and not potty-trained. I'm sad for him.

So every once in awhile I have to check in with y'all because I change my faves like celebrities change partners.

I'm reading this book series - A Game of Thrones. There is an HBO series based on it but I haven't watched any of it because I'm poor and don't have HBO but it looks awesome!

I'm ALLLLL about Sons of Anarchy. Holy Hot ManMeat. Jax is hawt. I've only finished season 2 and was supposed be getting some season 3 contraband (because it's not on netflix) but my dealer is not coming through for me. Might have to break down and buy it on itunes. Season 4 starts next month!

mmmm....Jax. Ok - moving on.

I want to eat Rocky Road ice cream for breakfast lunch and dinner.

Like I have a couple of cowlicks. And a little bit of curl. And sometimes it can look so freakin CUTE! and then 3 minutes later look like crap.

I got a new hairdryer and this was my right after styling.

TOTAL Sex Hair. LOVE!

Chris went to his friend's house saturday night and I wanted to kick him in the teeth.

I wanted to go get a pedicure

and go to JCPs 5 hour sale.

I didn't.

Instead, I got 15 minutes of "quiet time" when Chris took G outside at Cracker Barrel

And 25ish while G finished out a nap.

It's not enough.

I had a dream last night That Grayson was twins. TWINS! shoot me in the head.

I started back on C25k - at week 1 day 1. I've done it once in the last 2 weeks.

I went to zumba once.

I looked like this as off last night. Yes i bought the dress.

This is probably me at my heaviest (other than pregnant) this was halloween 2007. I weighed around 275. I know I've come along and I keep thinking how great I would look if I could get to at least 200.

I can tell I've lost weight. But I WANT to lose more. But WANTING to is not turning into motivation or DOING.

Yes I am quite aware that I bitch about the same thing every week. No need to point it out.

I might have taken more pictures of the cupcake store than I did anything else.

I walked in and I immediately fell in love. LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT.

I want to swim in that taffy. It's called saltwater for a reason.

It was GORGEOUS.

I also MIGHT have said that I wanted to live there like 5 times. And also to the girl that rang me up.

Chris said it was too much. Just too much.

And I said then it is my soulmate because I'm also just a little too much.

Mini Vacay - Oklahoma City

Sorry for the picture overload. But it was a vacation and vacations are all about the pictures.

First stop - 45th Infantry Museum - for my nephew the war nerd.

G did a whole lot of this. He enjoyed looking at the chapel which is like his chapel at daycare. He told every stranger we encountered about the "Jesus room" and also how I "wacked him" with my huge DSLR. I'm aweosme like that.

My camera died but we went to bass pro and played on the boats. G decided the most expensive ski boat was his and when some college kids climbed on it yelled "HEY those guys on my boat!"

Oh and we NEED a party boat.

We also did the water taxi on friday night. Then off to swim in the pool and stay up until midnight.

Saturday was the Science Museum which was Pure Awesome to G.

That night we went to my new favorite place EVER - a super chic CUPCAKE STORE - Pinkitzel! It will be it's own post.

Chris came up and swam with us in the super awesome hotel pool. We stayed at the Hampton Inn Bricktown - it was super nice for breakfast and the pool!

Sunday - last stop was to tour our capitol. It was a bit boring because everything was locked up and closed. I kept trying to open random doors and no luck. LAME.

G kept asking when we were going okahubba city even though we had been there for over 24 hours.

He also loved to the hotel and the aligator (elevator)

And kept mimicking the GPS by randomly saying "car turn left".

Planning a mini vacay

This weekend - I'm packing up the kid and we are going with my sister and nephew to Oklahoma City.

I'm super excited. I've never taken G anywhere away before. I think it will be fun.

We are staying at a super cool hotel that has THIS pool

I told G about the trip yesterday.

Me: On Friday we are going on a trip
G: a trip?
Me: Ya and we are going to stay in a hotel
G: A HOTEL? OOOOOOH I LIKE THAT, MOM!
Me: and they have a big pool
G: OOOOOOOH I LIKE THAT!

The conversation went like that - everything I mentioned - he liked.

I'm trying not to get anxious and uptight about the whole thing. I have a tendency to overthink things.
Like getting overwhelmed by my "TO PACK" list.

Chris reminded me that there will be Targets there - It's not like another planet where they don't make overnight diapers and sippy cups.

We will do a few outside things - very few - It's supposed to be 108 degrees this weekend. I WILL pass out. If only to get back to the AC.

My friend Stephanie had a new baby girl. Little Miss Avery. Steph also has a December 08 baby, Maggie. We met on the Babycenter Boards. Her husband also just deployed for a year.

I had my other friend Jacque make her a super scrapbook to stick some pictures of the girls in. Jacque is a scrapbookin superstar.

And instead of cash money - she asked that I make her daughter some zipper pouches. I also sent them some bookmarks.

I went to zumba this week. It was good. I really did miss it. Especially that hour of getting away from the house that's NOT work.

I click on my blog like 20 times a day - praying to the internet gods to let it work. AND IT WORKED JUST NOW!

So I was immediately like I have to post. something.

I went back to Zumba last night for the first time in a few months. I almost died. but it felt good.

G is super uber cute. He uses the word "BO-BO" in random sentences.
"I need a sippy, mommy bobo"
"see that bobo" flag
"this our bobo neighborhood"

It's funny.

Another thing he says often is "I Forgot"
"I need milk. I forgot"
"Tyler wants cookie. I forgot"
He says it all the time.

Tyler is done staying with us after tomorrow. G is going to be heartbroken. Tyler plays with him every single night for a few hours. It's awesome for me to have downtime. And G LOVES it. And Tyler never complains - just plays school and animals and bear cave and water. And all those other pretend games that Grayson thinks up.

We had a family concert the other night. I was on microphone, Chris on guitar, Tyler on drums, and G on kazoo. And everyone HAD to be loud (G's orders)

We rocked out to Jesus Loves Me and Party in the USA.

I'm posting an update from my phone because work is being dumb.

They did some updates and I now have fb and eBay but google and blogger doesn't work.

I can read blogs in my reader but not see pictures or go to the blog home to leave my witty words of awesomeness.

And I've Been doing the work of 2 people since Suzie is out with her son. And I'm not bothered by that - just crazy busy.

I need to figure out the blogging thing. I can't NOT blog. It's such a huge part of me. An outlet, an exercise, a community.

I miss y'all and I have an awesome post in my head about a little tit for tat homemade goodness. (it's not dirty-swearsies)

So ya about that. You get no picture this week. sorry! Yesterday I weighed and it said 230.6 and I was like ya baby! then I put on my dress - grabbed my phone - weighed again and it said 232.0 and I was like WHAT THE HELL?! This morning I weighed the 231.6 and there was no way I was going back for photo proof - I'd probably gain 5 pounds just from breathing.

My plan is - my nephew's internship is up after next week - so I'll start being a runner at lunch again.

Start going to zumba once a week again.

no more hot fudge sundaes in place of dinner. It's still bad for me even if I eat it instead of dinner.

I'm SOOOOOO close to being out of the 230's and I KNOW this. I KNOW I can shed those few pounds with a little effort. but KNOWING and DOING are not friends.

I need a spanking. wait, what?!

I haven't blogged in a week.

My friend's son is still in the hospital - 10 days now - they had to remove part of his colon and his appendix. He's currently looking at surgery again to stop some more bleeding where they reattached the colon. The whole situation is sad. And I don't know the right words to say or how to be comforting. I'm really really bad at that.

Wednesday night

G had to go to the DR yesterday because he had a huge pimple/boil thing on this nipple. He's always had a tiny pimple looking thing there but the DR said it had abscessed. So they had to drain it. It was so sad. G is feeling better though. He's on Bactrim orally and an ointment antibiotic. He's also been referred to a Pediatric surgeon to see if it needs to be removed.

I've read all your blogs via reader via my crappy iphone screen around 3am each night. And I didn't comment. I know - I suck. Really.

I dyed my hair - box dye all the way baby.

I saw Harry Potter at the IMAX in 3D and it was super freakin awesome. I want to re-read all the books again but I'm waiting until the are released in electronic format in October.

Ok so Sheila's son is out of the hospital - final diagnosis was a really bad case of Strep.

But now my other coworker, Suzie, has her 15 year old in the hospital now. He had to have surgery yesterday to remove part of his colon and his appendix. I've been worried about them and also trying to keep her desk caught up so I won't be around. again.

I've already talked to G and he understands that he is NOT allowed to get sick. the end.

I still need to adjust a few of the settings because I'm pretty sure that I don't want weirdo perv strangers to stalk him.

Splash Pad 2011

I still try to fit in fun stuff for G even though I work. I'm always just a little bit jealous of the moms with summers off. Although I can't imagine trying to entertain G everyday.

I took him to one of the local splash pads. He had the best time ever.

I'll take him back when it's not 107 degrees and too hot to breathe or function.

PS - I've been thinking of trying to upload G videos to youtube. it will be a bit time-consuming but I know some you can't get enough of G. interested or don't waste my time?

Woot woot! I'm pretty excited to be finally headed in the right direction. YAY!

I think one thing that helped this week is I reclaimed my kitchen from wood floor renovation projects and cooked 2 weight watcher friendly items, Pasta Bake (my recipe is a little different) and Pizza Casserole. G was a big fan that I'm cooking again. I thought I would never miss cooking but you can only eat out so much before you feel like a big vat of grease.

So my goal is to up my water intake - I've been slacking. and to cook at least 3 times next week. (I'm being realistic)

In other news, my friend Sheila's son has been admitted to the local children's hospital. There is no confirmed diagnosis but they are leaning towards a tick bite. Please say a prayer and send good thoughts her way.

With Make It or Break It - which is all Amber's fault. I've watched ALL of season 1 and am halfway through season 2. AND there might not even be a season 3. Which is total bullshit. I NEED a season 3. I NEED to be besties with the Rock Girls. And I totally have what it takes to be a ELITE gymnast. (mostly) (not really).

I'm also all about these books - the Stephanie Plum series. I just finished #15 last night. I can totally see myself as an inept bounty hunter. I would kick that ass. (riiiiiight)

I LOVE books where it's a huge long series and they are all out so I can read lots and lots and lots. Got anything for me?

I'm also in love with So You Think You Can Dance. All the cool kids use SYTYCD.

This dance is my fave so far. They are best friends and he got left at the altar and she decides she loves him. SWOON.

This is why I'm super behind on reading blogs and commenting and even posting. Because I'm living in Brandyland pretending that I'm a super awesome gymnast by day, and a hot sexy badass bounty hunter by night. With a little strutting my dancing stuff on the weekends.

We had a busy weekend. Doing super important things - like getting G his first flip flops. Tiny flip flops are the cuteness.

Took G to the same pool I took him to last year.

He LOVES the water. no fear.

We stayed 2 hours and I came home rocking this bad boy.

I was thisclose to calling in based on the fact that it hurts to wear a bra. That's totally a valid excuse right?!

Crazy Train Check-In

I started taking anti-depressants 2 weeks ago. The DR said it would take a couple of weeks to feel things. or something.

So how do I feel? I have no idea.

One of the first things I noticed was the insomnia side effect. At first, I slept one good night out of 9. But I've slept pretty decent the last 3 nights. I'm one of those chicks that needs sleep. NEEDS.

So I'm not sure mentally how I feel. I'm not frolicking with the unicorns and rolling around with fluffy puppies. I'm just kinda here. Just faking it until I make it.

I have noticed that I just "go with it" I don't feel any desire to argue or really discuss things. Just feeling pretty whatever.

Is that a good thing? Maybe for now, but I'm hoping that's not a long-term feeling.

Chris and I did have a "discussion" on Saturday after he went to "play golf" for 8 hours and was confused as to why I was upset.

I explained (bawled my eyes out - full on sobbing) how he's so lucky. That I can NOT remember the last time I had 1 hour to myself. ONE! So he finally said that he understands and I do need time. And he took G to the playground and mall the next morning and gave me a couple of hours to myself. And it was HEAVEN.

Will it actually happen on a long-term basis? I guess we will see.

So no worries - just rockin the meds.

One of the hardest things about being a parent

is the sick part.
Like is he REALLY sick.
or a little sick.
or not-so-much sick.
sick enough to wait it out.
or sick enought to check it out?

G had a a fever of 100.6 on Sunday night. Gave him tylenol. No more fever by 2am. But he didn't sleep good overnight.

Monday in a good mood.

Tuesday in a TERRIBLE mood! Like completely out of character everything is the WORST thing in the whole world.

He says "I don't feel good"
He says his ears hurt. and his legs hurt. and his shoes hurt. and his socks hurt.

So we have a Doctor appointment because I think wasting my time is less important than the mom-guilt I would feel if he was REALLY sick. (I'm probably wasting my time)
